in my world.
Just a seventeen-year-old artist in progress whose head is usually in the clouds.

Reblog this if you’ve been playing Animal Crossing since 2002

brohei-crossing:

I’m just curious to see who else is a twenty-something AC vet in the tumblr community, that’s all. Please don’t start any fights over it. ^^;

Anonymous asked: link me to some of your favorite art blogs?

Some….? :’D Well half of my follow list is art blogs and they’re all amazing so prepare for many (in no particular order):

shardula - Just followed this one, I was enticed by the flawless sculptures and clean graphite work.

phobso - Some really loose, gesturally strong and well-polished character illustration here.

e1n - A storyboard artist who draws mostly whimsical and fun pen sketches and often shares excellent advice on how to best pursue art yourself.

kaze-hime - An old favorite anime artist, though even now I can still say her skills are top-notch within the niche.

Ivan Alifan - One of my favorites, as someone who loves realistic oils. Also does charcoal work.

colchrishadfield - Not actually an art blog but you can argue that the planet Earth is a work of art…. and besides, how many people have the resources for space photography?

milkmanner - Has a lovely style and wields the brush pen like no other.

artsylain - A nice variety here, with drawing, photography and some very innovative design work.

midnighttofu - Not too big a fan of Exo but I still follow ‘cause it’s some pretty well-done fanart and even I can tell the likenesses are spot-on.

loish - One of my favorite DA artists, her style and presentation is just…. wow.

mattidasinks - Some really adorable and intricate pen-and-ink art.

alexthebeck - Again, DAT STYLE. And all in acrylic!

minumtehtarik - Why does Exo fandom get all the good artists? Either way their style is adorable and actually pulls off noodle arms super well haha.

sakimichan - Fanart extraordinaire. Everything is polished to a professional standard with technical abilities to match.

artdetails - Exactly what it says on the box- shares detail shots from old masterpieces. Some are beautiful, some are bizarre, all are interesting if you like art history.

hotaruarc - An animation student (?) equipped with the huge skill set the vocation demands. You won’t see any stiff poses or dull compositions here!

fivetinsoldiers - Mostly character art, made with solid foundations and excellent rendering.

vilify - also does well-rendered character art, ranging from pen sketches to full-blown paintings.

kryou - A friend’s old artblog, probably won’t update again anytime soon but still well worth browsing :>

myrollingstar - Last but not least, the blog I (virtually) joined tumblr for! In retrospect my tastes have somewhat evolved away from this kind of bright pretty art but she’s good at what she does and the bursts of color are very refreshing.

And of course there are countless others who post art alongside reblogs as well, but if I included them the list would be endless! Either way I recommend these to anyone so thanks for asking, dear anon ^^

Had time to draw and play Minish Cap today, so here’s a tiny painting of a tiny boy.

This piece was in yesterday’s NYTimes and International Herald Tribune.. It was for a personal travel journey by Matt Gross. It’s about learning how to eat like a local in Vietnam. You can read the article here.

Working on this piece has been nothing but fighting pho cravings…

Big thanks to AD Corinne, always a pleasure!
